BIRKENSTOCK RESOLE / REFURBISH
Many people believe that once your "Birks" soles have worn down, typically after a year, the shoes/sandals are toast. That may be the case if you've worn too far into the cork of the footbed. If this is the case you can still have your Birkenstocks rebuilt with a new footbed & sole for the existing upper.

Birkenstocks should be resoled every 1 to 3 years depending on the visible wear of the sole. Most wearers will wear one of the heels out before the rest of the sole is deteriorated. Unfortunately this can cause issues with how you walk and additionally compromise the Birkenstock even though it may appear not to be worn out. If the sole is less then (3mm) it needs to be replaced.
